Mohammed bin Rashid receives letter from Emir of Kuwait

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received today Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al Sabah, Foreign Minister of Kuwait. Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al Sabah delivered to a letter to Sheikh Mohammed from the Emir of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The letter is related to the brotherly bilateral relation between the two countries, matters related to the Gulf Cooperation Council and ways to enhance relations between GCC member countries.

Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the meeting.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid affirmed the importance of collaboration and cooperation between the GCC countries, most particularly during this period that witness many challenges. He also affirmed the UAE’s commitment to support the sincere efforts that help achieving the national objectives and interests of the GCC countries.

Sheikh Mohammed also recalled the historic relations between the UAE and Kuwait, and praised the role of the late Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah in consolidating and uniting the GCC countries since his term as Foreign Minister.

The meeting was attended by President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and CEO of Emirates Group HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Minister of Cabinet Affairs HE Mohammed al Gergawi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for International Cooperation HE Reem Al Hashim, Director General of Dubai Protocol Department HE Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Kuwaiti Ambassador to UAE HE Salah Baijan, Assistant Foreign Minister for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Affairs HE Nasser Haji Al Mezain and Deputy Assistant Foreign Ministry for the Minister of Foreign Affairs Office HE Ahmed AbdulRahman Alshuraim.
