The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) held a webinar, which discussed the role of data in developing health systems.
The webinar, which was organized by the DHA’s Data Analysis, Research and Studies Department in partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi, also discussed how health data can be used to help health systems enhance practices and achieve intended results by creating evidence-based strategies and policies.
Dr Amar Sabry, Research Scientist and Specialist, Public Health Research Center, New York University Abu Dhabi, stressed during the webinar, the important role data plays in supporting decision makers as it can help identify health problems in advance and identify priorities when it comes to enhancing the quality of healthcare and utilizing health resources.
He also discussed how data can be used to help health systems combat COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Dr Jamal Mohamad, a specialist from the DHA’s Data Analysis, Research and Studies Department shared how data can be utilized in forecasting diseases.
The event was attended by healthcare leaders, health regulators, specialists and many more from the UAE and abroad.
