25 Jan, 2021

Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body of Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in the UAE, today organized a voluntary COVID-19 vaccination drive for its employees and staff. The drive supports the nation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen immunity within the community and maintain public health and safety.

The first phase of the vaccination drive took place on Monday, January 25, from 8am to 4pm, with 90 DSOA personnel lined-up to take the COVID-19 vaccine, which was provided, and logistically supported, by MoHAP.

Commenting on the campaign, Dr Juma Al Matroushi, Deputy CEO of DSOA, said: “Providing the COVID-19 vaccine to our employees supports the commendable efforts of the Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE, alongside other government health entities and departments, to boost immunity and mitigate the spread of the virus across the nation.”

He added: “The exceptional response we’ve received for vaccination complements the responsible commitment that everyone has showcased in dealing with the spread of the coronavirus. The UAE having administered more than 2.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in a record time, is a testament to the exemplary efforts of the health and relevant authorities, backed by the unwavering support of the wise leadership.”

Phase two of the vaccination drive, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the DSOA headquarters. Through the vaccination drive DSOA aims to encourage the DSO community to be part of the collective responsibility in overcoming the repercussions of the pandemic and returning to normalcy.
