RTA and EIT Urban Mobility Organise Training Programmes on the Future of Mobility

- RTA and EIT Urban Mobility Organise Training Programmes on the Future of Mobility, 157 employees participated

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Urban Mobility, organised eight virtual training programmes focusing on The Future of Sustainable Mobility. The training sessions targeted various grades and categories of RTA employees. Inductees received certificates from the EIT after successfully completing specialised tests on the study topics.

In line with the government directives, RTA provides the latest programmes and techniques to help enrolled employees acquire the necessary skills, increase knowledge, and improve performance, enabling them to adapt to scientific and career pathways.

RTA also seeks to realise its values that promote competitiveness and innovative thinking by adopting global practices, focusing on unconventional thinking, striving for leadership, and providing a positive work environment that fosters continuous learning.

The training programmes covered a variety of topics in the field of urban air mobility, the use of hydrogen technologies for a sustainable urban mobility, employing artificial intelligence in autonomous vehicles, and rethinking cities and urban spaces for citizens.

Reflecting on the results of the training, about 157 employees benefited from the programmes, which enhanced participants' knowledge in sustainable and urban mobility and familiarised them with the trending technologies of mobility. The programmes also enabled them to acquire future skills in mobility and educated them on the latest applications in this field.

EIT Urban Mobility, an affiliate of the European Union, was established in 2008 to enhance innovation capacity, create job opportunities, and achieve sustainable and smart growth. The institute aims to drive innovation in business, education, and research and seeks to find solutions to global challenges, including climate change, digitalisation, and sustainable energy.
