 Hamdan bin Mohammed discusses progress of UAE National Rail Network with Theyab bin Mohamed

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, today met with His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court and Chairman of Etihad Rail, at the Emirates Towers in Dubai.

During the meeting, Their Highnesses discussed the progress of the UAE National Rail Network project, a key strategic initiative that will link the seven emirates on completion. Featuring the highest environmental, safety and quality standards, the project will play a vital role in expanding the UAE’s transportation network and enhancing logistics efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

HH Sheikh Hamdan said Etihad Rail has made exceptional progress in implementing this major infrastructure project, which will contribute significantly to achieving the UAE’s strategic goals in the logistics and transportation sectors.

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed said Etihad Rail seeks to support the UAE’s strategic vision and future aspirations, and contribute to seamlessly connecting the country’s economic zones with its seaports. The UAE National Rail Network will play an important role in advancing sustainable development in the country, he added.

The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and a number of senior Abu Dhabi and Etihad Rail officials.
