Maktoum bin Mohammed says UAE Flag Day is an occasion to celebrate the values of patriotism and national loyalty

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, said the UAE Flag Day is an occasion to celebrate the values of patriotism and national loyalty and pay tribute to the country’s leaders whose tireless efforts have made the UAE an exemplar for success and a leader on the international stage.

HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed said the UAE Flag Day is an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning and significance of patriotism and national loyalty. He said the occasion provides the nation’s citizens a chance to recommit their allegiance to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Their Highnesses Members of the UAE Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates and support them in achieving greater heights of growth and prosperity for the nation.

“The country’s flag will always be a symbol of pride, patriotism and solidarity and evoke a deep sense of devotion to the nation. The UAE Flag Day is an occasion to renew our pledge to contribute to nation building in our fullest capacities. With our collective efforts, the UAE’s flag will continue to fly high as it transitions into a new 50-year phase of its development journey. Building on its momentous achievements over the last five decades, the UAE is set to script a remarkable new story of growth and success,” His Highness said. “As we celebrate the UAE Flag Day, let us make another pledge to strive for greater accomplishments that will shape a glorious future for our nation,” he added.

His Highness called on the UAE’s youth to redouble their efforts to serve the nation, adding that national occasions such as the UAE Flag Day provide an opportunity to reiterate the importance of serving the nation selflessly.
