Suqia UAE launches its new community initiative ‘Gift Water to Mosques’

The UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia UAE) launched its new community initiative ‘Gift Water to Mosques’ in collaboration with the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department, Mai Dubai and Moro Hub. The initiative allows people and institutions to donate water for distribution to selected mosques in Dubai.

“Since its establishment 10 years ago, Suqia UAE, under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation (MBRGI), launched various programmes and initiatives that provide everyone with the opportunity to build a mutually supportive cohesive society, as well as provide opportunities for the community to offer additional support that meets the needs of the disadvantaged everywhere.

Based on the values of giving and good deeds, which are an integral part of our culture and Islamic religion, and in line with the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’, held under the theme ‘Hand in Hand’, Suqia UAE is launching a new community initiative to provide drinking water to various mosques in Dubai, a move intended to strengthen the bonds of cohesion and brotherhood among different segments of society,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Suqia.

Individuals and institutions can donate water to selected mosques in the Emirate of Dubai through Suqia’s website or smart app, available on Android and iOS.
