DEWA observes Flag Day in a patriotic atmosphere filled with pride and belonging

In response to the call of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) observed Flag Day 2025 in a patriotic atmosphere filled with pride, a deep sense of belonging and loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, raised the UAE flag at DEWA’s headquarters at 11am, in the presence of DEWA’s Executive Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents and a large number of employees.

“I am honoured to extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; Their Highnesses, the Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates; Their Highnesses, the Crown Princes; and all citizens and residents of the UAE on the occasion of Flag Day. This cherished occasion is a profound reflection of our national pride and dignity, and embodies the values of peace, tolerance and giving on which the homeland was founded.

 

The UAE flag stands as a powerful symbol of unity and cohesion among all Emiratis and residents. On this glorious day, we express our pride in a nation whose greatness was shaped by devoted leaders who laid the foundations of a civilisation that has made the UAE a role model in leadership and progress. We renew our pledge of loyalty and belonging to our wise leadership, and we pledge before Allah Almighty that the UAE flag will always fly high in glory, rallying Emiratis and residents with unwavering resolve and the firm belief that our nation will continue to forge ahead with excellence, guided by the wise leadership and the enduring spirit of the Union,” said Al Tayer.

DEWA employees renewed their pledge of loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership, expressing their pride in participating in this national occasion that reflects feelings of unity and cohesion among citizens and residents of this good land. To mark the occasion, DEWA launched an internal website for employees with a heritage theme, featuring valuable information about the UAE flag, including its story, key milestones and other inspiring national topics.
