DPC and Dubai Health conclude second phase of ‘Dubai Content Creators Programme’

The Dubai Press Club (DPC), in collaboration with Dubai Health, concluded the second phase of the ‘Dubai Content Creators Programme’, following a month of intensive sessions focused on health and science content. The programme aimed to equip participants with advanced skills and expertise to produce credible, engaging and impactful content that promotes awareness and supports community wellbeing.

On this occasion, Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, thanked Dubai Health for its vital support in the programme, emphasising that such cross-sector collaboration strengthens Dubai’s role as a centre for digital content creation across diverse fields, including health and wellbeing.

Her Excellency noted that digital content today plays a central role in the media landscape due to its speed and wide reach. She emphasised the importance of content creators providing accurate information, backed by solid knowledge and a clear understanding of all aspects of their work, to ensure a positive impact. She added that the initiative aims to position Dubai as a leading hub for credible Arabic content that promotes public wellbeing and a sustainable future.

The programme, which began on 6 October, provided an interactive platform bringing together experts, doctors, media professionals, and content creators to exchange knowledge and explore best practices in producing reliable health content, with the aim of raising public awareness of health and quality of life, in line with Dubai’s vision to promote specialised Arabic content.

His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, said that the graduation of the first cohort of the Health and Science Content Creators Programme represents an important step in promoting a more informed and health-aware community.
He commended the Dubai Press Club and its partners for fostering collaboration between the media and health sectors to promote public wellbeing, and congratulated the graduates for their role in spreading accurate, science-based health awareness through digital platforms.

As part of the programme, medical professionals shared their expertise in creating trusted health content. Dr. Adel Sajwani, Family Medicine Consultant and Deputy Medical Director at Medcare Parkview Hospital, highlighted how doctors can balance clinical duties with content creation and use social media to deliver accurate, accessible messages. 

Dr. Talal Al Muhaisen, Dermatology and Hair Consultant, offered practical tips on topic selection, timing, sourcing, and audience engagement, emphasising the responsibility of content creators to serve the public while maintaining professional and ethical standards.

Dr. Anwar Al Hammadi, Dermatology Consultant at Dermamed, shared insights on creating accurate and engaging medical content, building trust, combating misinformation, and upholding ethical and professional standards.

As part of collaborations with leading media institutions, Ahmed Alketbi from Dubai Media Inc. discussed the fundamentals of developing AI-driven media content. Meanwhile, Aya Abdulwahab from YouTube led a session on creating effective content, covering strategic scheduling, audience growth, and sustainable content planning. 

From MediaCast, Tamer Rabie and Alaa Nawar provided hands-on training in multi-camera live streaming and using Picture-in-Picture for interactive medical content. Additionally, Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, CEO of the AI Journalism Foundation, shared insights on generative AI in the medical field, including classifying and processing medical data with AI tools.

During the programme, Heba Hassan, Creative Founder and AI & Design Expert at The Collective Mind, offered insights on creating professional social media reels. She highlighted their role in boosting brand engagement, outlined the key elements of a successful reel, and reviewed the technical tools and digital applications needed to produce high-quality content.

The second edition of the ‘Dubai Content Creators Programme’ brought together leading new media institutions that contributed to the programme’s knowledge content, including TikTok, YouTube, Al Warsha, Dubai Media Academy, MediaCast, Edraak Media Academy, Iram Business, the AI Journalism Foundation, Blinx, and The Collective Mind. Prominent content creators, doctors, and specialists also contributed to delivering the programme’s training content.
