Khaled bin Mohamed and Hamdan bin Mohammed receive delegations participating in Dubai Airshow 2025

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, today received a number of delegations from brotherly and friendly nations participating in the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow. The largest edition of the event is being held until 21 November at Dubai World Central, where global industry leaders are gathering to shape the future of aviation, space, and defence.

Their Highnesses welcomed the participating delegations, including Ministers of Defence, Chiefs of Staff and Air Force Commanders, expressing their hope that their participation will help achieve positive and productive outcomes that support the sector’s long-term development.

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “The 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow marks a pivotal moment in the development of the aviation and defence sectors, further strengthening the UAE’s position as a trusted partner and a key driver of global industry growth. Hosting this substantial number of delegations, leaders and experts reflects the international community’s confidence in the UAE’s vision to build a diversified knowledge economy, enhance security and stability, and harness advanced technology for the benefit of humanity.

“We look forward to expanding avenues of cooperation with countries around the world and forging strategic partnerships in innovation and aviation sustainability. These efforts strengthen the competitiveness of our national companies and help deliver positive outcomes that advance the sector’s growth,” His Highness added.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “The UAE continues to consolidate its position as one of the world’s most dynamic and competitive economies, driven by the vision of its leadership, which has made investment in people, knowledge and innovation the cornerstone of national development. This approach forms the foundation of a sustainable and diversified economy capable of keeping pace with rapid changes across regional and global landscapes.

Sheikh Hamdan said: “The 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in cementing Dubai’s status as a leading global centre for aviation, space and defence, and as a hub for innovation, investment and future-oriented industries. The event has become a prestigious international platform that brings together key decision makers and industry leaders from around the world to build strategic partnerships and explore innovative solutions that reshape these vital sectors and enhance their long-term sustainability. The strong participation of official delegations, senior executives and experts underscores the international community’s confidence in Dubai and the UAE as a trusted partner in developing a more efficient and sustainable global aviation ecosystem.”

The Dubai Airshow is placing increasing emphasis on advanced air mobility. For the first time in the event’s history, the show features flights of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft. The Advanced Air Mobility Pavilion offers visitors insights into the evolution of urban transport, with pioneering electric aircraft showcasing the flexibility, innovation and vast potential that are set to redefine mobility worldwide.

This year’s edition features more than 1,500 exhibitors, including 440 new participants, alongside 148,000 visitors and 490 civil and military delegations from 115 countries. The Airshow also features 21 national pavilions, including the Kingdom of Morocco’s first participation, in addition to 98 chalets and an expanded display area of 8,000 square metres, as well as 120 start-ups and 50 investors.

The Dubai Airshow 2025 is being held under the theme ‘The Future Is Here’, uniting global aviation leaders to shape the next era of the aviation and space sectors.
