Al Habtoor joins the “Real Estate Developers’ Endowment” initiative with 5 residential units in Dubai

The Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC), affiliated with the Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai (Awqaf Dubai), has announced a new contribution to the “Real Estate Developers’ Endowment” initiative, launched in partnership with Dubai Land Department (DLD). The contribution was made by Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group. The aim of this donation is to strengthen the sustainability of humanitarian efforts.

Al Habtoor has dedicated five residential units within the Al Habtoor City project as a sustainable charitable endowment in support of the initiative. Al Habtoor Group will fully manage and operate the units, with their annual proceeds allocated to charitable programmes in the fields of health and education and to supporting those in need, including orphans, widows, people of determination, and other humanitarian cases.

Khalaf Al Habtoor said: “Our country, the UAE, was built on a culture of giving. Endowment is one of the greatest and most sustainable tools for doing good. Out of loyalty to our values, and in fulfilment of our duty to contribute alongside our government in supporting the people of this blessed land, we dedicate these endowments to serve the community under our management and supervision.”

His Excellency Essa Al Ghurair, Chairman of Awqaf Dubai, praised Al Habtoor’s contribution to the initiative. He highlighted that this participation represents a role model of institutional philanthropy and reflects a clear commitment to supporting endowment-driven initiatives that serve the community.

His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of Awqaf Dubai, added that the initiative embodies the deeply rooted spirit of giving in the UAE community and reflects a constructive partnership between Awqaf Dubai and the private sector to support health, education, social development, and other vital areas.

“The continued success of the Real Estate Developers’ Endowment initiative in attracting further contributions from developers and business leaders is a strong testament to the values of generosity instilled by the wise leadership,” he added.

Zainab Juma Al Tamimi, Director of the MBRGCEC, expressed her appreciation for Khalaf Al Habtoor’s donation, noting that this contribution represents an endowment tool that creates lasting impact and provides a steady source of support for charitable initiatives. Al Tamimi added that the initiative aims to enhance the participation of the real estate sector in creating innovative endowments that address the needs of the community.

The “Real Estate Developers’ Endowment” initiative comes as part of efforts to strengthen the partnership between the private sector and the endowment sector, and to highlight the active role of real estate developers in supporting community projects, in line with the UAE’s vision of promoting a culture of giving.
