The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai achieved a significant knowledge-based milestone during the first quarter of 2026 through its affiliated community centres under the Islamic Knowledge Programs Administration. These include Al Mizhar Cultural Islamic Centre, Umm Al Sheif Cultural Islamic Centre, and Nad Al Sheba Women’s Centre.
The total educational output exceeded 4,900 training hours and more than 2,830 academic lessons, in addition to the implementation of 104 Quranic circles. This reflects the growing educational impact of programs targeting women and girls, and underscores the Department’s efforts to disseminate moderate Islamic knowledge through modern approaches that promote family stability and social cohesion.
The achievements also included the organization of morning and evening Quranic circles, which resulted in the completion of 12 full Quranic recitations (Khatmas). This highlights the continuity and integration of educational programs, as well as the Department’s commitment to enabling participants to acquire structured Islamic knowledge tailored to different age groups.
In efforts to enhance the quality of education, the Administration introduced 14 innovative teaching methods that contributed to improving the learning experience and its outcomes. Additionally, more than 500 new registration requests were received, alongside the implementation of 24 community activities totaling 137 community hours. These initiatives strengthen the Department’s presence in the community and reinforce the integration of educational and social impact in promoting values of solidarity and cohesion.
Sheikha Sultan Al Mulla, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programs Administration, stated that these achievements reflect the success of the Department’s approach in designing specialized educational initiatives that address the needs of women and girls. She noted that program development is driven by direct engagement with beneficiaries and understanding their actual needs, which has led to the launch of initiatives that meet their expectations and enhance their trust in the Department, reinforcing the sense that their voices are heard and their needs are valued.
She added that these efforts align with the Department’s strategy “Closer to the Community,” through the provision of qualitative initiatives that combine in-person and digital learning, contributing to a sustainable knowledge impact that enhances quality of life and family stability.
