Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services showcases advanced solutions to enhance emergency preparedness at World Health Expo 2026

The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) is showcasing its integrated smart ambulance system at the World Health Expo 2026, which concludes today in Dubai.

Through its participation in the global healthcare event, DCAS is presenting the latest digital and operational solutions designed to enhance emergency preparedness and elevate the quality of pre-hospital medical care across the emirate.

His Excellency Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, Executive Director of DCAS, said the entity’s participation reflects the significant transformation underway in Dubai’s ambulance system, driven by advanced technology and data-led decision-making.

He noted that DCAS is presenting a comprehensive model of a smart ambulance ecosystem built on digital data to accelerate response times and strengthen service quality. The model demonstrates the full ambulance response journey, beginning with proactive resource planning based on the analysis of historical and real-time data, followed by smart reporting systems supported by digital applications and Emirates ID integration, and culminating in field response enabled by digital alert systems and seamless medical coordination with hospitals.

Julfar explained that ambulance resource planning relies on the integration and analysis of data related to incident locations, peak hours, population density, and major events. Using Geographic Information Systems and artificial intelligence, DCAS identifies optimal deployment points, enhances coverage across the emirate, and reduces response times.

As part of its participation, DCAS is also showcasing its Field Support Unit, a specialised ambulance vehicle equipped with advanced medical equipment and operational systems to assist field teams during major emergencies and large-scale incidents, including those in rugged terrain or during natural disasters. The unit reflects the high level of operational readiness achieved by Dubai’s ambulance services and their capacity to manage diverse emergency scenarios efficiently.

His Excellency revealed that DCAS received more than 279,000 emergency calls in a single year through its smart reporting system, underscoring growing public reliance on digital channels and the efficiency of its dispatch and management systems. He added that DCAS recorded an average response time of approximately seven minutes in 2025 and is working towards an ambitious target of four minutes by 2033.

He further emphasised that DCAS continues to invest in advanced technologies, including AI, telemedicine communication systems, and digital integration with health authorities, to enhance clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes during emergencies.

Julfar concluded that participation in World Health Expo 2026 provides a vital platform to exchange expertise and showcase Dubai’s pioneering ambulance model, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a global benchmark in emergency response and healthcare quality.
