Dubai Police Launches Lawyers Platform with Seven Digital Legal Services

Dubai Police has announced the launch of the second generation of its official website and smart application, alongside the introduction of the Lawyers Platform, which offers seven specialised digital legal services designed to simplify procedures, speed up transactions, and enhance the customer experience for lawyers and legal consultants.
The announcement was made during a press conference attended by senior officials, legal professionals, and media representatives at the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf.

The event was attended by His Excellency Dr Major General Ahmad Zaal Bin Krishan Almuhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Financial and Administrative Sector Affairs, and His Excellency Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Sector Affairs, along with assistant commanders in chief, senior officers, lawyers, legal consultants, and members of the media.

Sustainable development of digital services
Major General Dr Saleh Abdullah Murad, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs and Chairman of the Customer Happiness Council at Dubai Police, welcomed attendees and stressed that, under the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, the organisation remains committed to continuously developing its technical systems.

He explained that this approach ensures fast and flexible access to security, traffic, community, and criminal services, supports Dubai Police’s strategic goals, enhances community happiness, strengthens security, and builds innovative and adaptable capabilities that keep pace with change.

Commenting on the launch of a dedicated platform for lawyers, Major General Murad said that the initiative supports the justice system by empowering legal partners to complete procedures efficiently through secure, integrated digital channels. He added that the platform aligns with Dubai’s digital transformation and zero bureaucracy agenda, offering smart, proactive services based on innovation and data science.

He noted that the second generation of the website and smart application reflects Dubai Police’s adoption of advanced artificial intelligence technologies, not only to speed up procedures but also to redesign the customer journey to be simpler, more accurate, and more reliable.

Added value through AI
Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, stated that artificial intelligence has become a core pillar in developing modern policing systems. He highlighted that Dubai Police follows a clear vision that transforms data and advanced technologies into effective tools for decision making, service efficiency, and system integration.

He explained that the new website and smart application follow the approved digital identity and provide services in seven United Nations official languages, with support for more than 268 languages through artificial intelligence systems. He added that the seven legal digital services were developed in line with approved legal frameworks, without affecting regulatory procedures.

Major General Al Razooqi noted that this initiative reflects Dubai Police’s proactive approach to building a digital ecosystem capable of continuous learning and improvement, enhancing reliability, accuracy of outcomes, and integration with relevant entities through a unified digital framework.

He confirmed that the platform supports the zero-bureaucracy strategy by reducing traditional procedures, unifying service channels, and offering interconnected services that save time and effort. He emphasised that innovation remains a strategic tool for strengthening trust, upholding the rule of law, and delivering real added value to society.

Reducing in-person visits
Brigadier Majed Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Police Stations, said that the Lawyers Platform represents a qualitative shift in services provided to lawyers and legal consultants. He explained that it significantly reduces reliance on in person visits to police stations and enhances operational efficiency.

He added that enabling lawyers to submit requests and complete procedures electronically saves time and effort, improves communication with justice partners, and supports a secure and transparent digital environment. This, in turn, reduces pressure on police stations and allows human resources to focus on essential security and community duties.

He confirmed that lawyers can access the platform around the clock through the Dubai Police website to submit documents and follow up on requests, while police stations can monitor procedures and request status in real time.

Smart and integrated customer experience
Hessa Al Balooshi, Director of Smart Applications at the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, explained that the new system provides a unified digital platform across the website and smart application, ensuring a seamless and integrated experience with continuous data flow across channels.

She noted that the platform enables easy access to services, reports, notifications, and request tracking through a single central point. It also features smart service accelerators that analyse user behaviour and language patterns to deliver more personalised and efficient services.

Through the Services Portal and Customer 360 Profile, users can access a customised dashboard displaying all requests, complaints, reports, and suggestions, with unified notifications and alerts that enhance transparency and accountability.

The platform also introduces dedicated Lawyers Workspaces, allowing lawyers to manage cases, powers of attorney, and client requests digitally and securely using digital identity, without visiting police stations.

An integrated request and case management system enables tracking of requests, circulars, and travel bans, supported by clear timelines and continuous updates via email, SMS, and in platform notifications.

The platform also includes the Smart Advisor Dubai Police AIX, an interactive digital guide that provides accurate guidance on services, reports, and enquiries, offering an advanced experience beyond traditional chat systems.

Seven digital legal services
Dubai Police confirmed that the Lawyers Platform includes the following seven services:
• Linking powers of attorney to officially represent clients in registered cases
• Electronic signing of powers of attorney in a secure and approved digital format
• Good Conduct Search Certificate to support the lifting of circulars after legal and financial settlement
• Filing criminal complaints on behalf of clients after identity verification and agency linkage
• Issuance of To Whom It May Concern certificates related to specific cases or procedures
• Permits for virtual visits with detainees or inmates held in Dubai
• Enquiry about circulars and travel bans with direct digital payment and case closure through the service
