Dubai Crown Prince praise UAE Armed Forces, call them pride of the nation

Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said the decision to unify the UAE Armed Forces in May 1976 was the start of a new phase in UAE’s history and the beginning of a new era of development and prosperity. He said the unification of the Armed Forces was the guarantee needed to achieve the ambitions of the nation and founding father the late Sheikh Zayed vin Sultan Al Nahyan.

In a statement to the UAE's military journal, Nation Shield, on the occasion the 44th anniversary of the UAE Armed Forces' Unification Day, His Highness said the armed forces patriotic spirit and the values of peace reflect its noble message. The honourable history of our armed forces is a testament to the UAE's message and its pioneering role in promoting peace and stability at the regional and international levels.

He affirmed that the insight and profound vision of the Founding Fathers and Rulers of the Emirates, who laid the basic pillars for the prosperity of the Union and its noble national values, which are making its citizens the goal of all its development plans and strategies, and making the achievement of happiness in society a top priority.

Sheikh Hamdan said the UAE Armed Forces is our pride and a guarantee for our prosperity and future. The UAE leadership's belief in the importance of creating a strong army in the past years has resulted in a major qualitative leap, and a continuous development of technical and human qualifications in accordance with the highest standards, he said.

On the occasion the 44th anniversary of the UAE Armed Forces' Unification Day, Dubai Crown Prince congratulated members of the different branches of the army and thanked them for their sacrifices and dedication.
