Maktoum bin Mohammed: UAE Flag Day renews our loyalty to the nation and its leadership

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, said that UAE Flag Day is a cherished national occasion that embodies the highest values of loyalty and belonging to the UAE and its leadership. The day, His Highness noted, is an opportunity to express national unity and the strong bond between the leadership and the people.

His Highness said the occasion is a moment of pride in which Emiratis recall the achievements of the Union founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Today, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and with the support of Their Highnesses, the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, the nation continues to chart a course of excellence and progress that inspires the world.

“On this national occasion, we draw inspiration from the determination instilled by our Founding Fathers,” His Highness said. “We renew our pledge to continue the Union’s journey, to strengthen the pillars of comprehensive development, and to achieve greater milestones through the dedication of Emiratis under a leadership that places their wellbeing and the nation’s prosperity at the forefront of its vision.”

Sheikh Maktoum added that the UAE’s achievements extend beyond economic growth to encompass innovation, knowledge, and technology, making the country a global model of excellence and a symbol of humanitarian values. “Our leadership’s vision has built a cohesive

society that turns challenges into opportunities while remaining true to the UAE’s identity and values,” he said.

His Highness noted that the UAE’s global standing across various sectors—economy, trade, governance, and institutional excellence—reflects a clear vision and tireless efforts by a leadership committed to empowering its people and safeguarding the nation’s distinguished position on the world stage.

His Highness said the UAE flag will forever remain a proud symbol of unity, dignity, and the strong bond between the leadership and people.
