Financial Audit Authority in Dubai launches fourth edition of the ‘Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor’ programme in collaboration with MBRSG

The Financial Audit Authority in Dubai has launched the fourth edition of the ‘Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor’ programme, a leading specialised professional training initiative in the field of auditing.

The programme is delivered in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) as part of the ongoing efforts to develop national talent and further enhance governance, transparency, and accountability across entities subject to the Authority’s oversight.

The programme represents an advanced milestone in building the capabilities of national talents, equipping them with the scientific knowledge and practical tools required to enhance audit and oversight practices, in line with the Government of Dubai’s vision to uphold the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

The fourth edition of the initiative offers an intensive, integrated training course that combines specialised academic instruction with hands-on practical application in real government work environments within entities subject to the Authority’s oversight. It also provides structured guidance and support for participants aiming to earn internationally recognised professional certifications in auditing, in addition to developing their skills and enabling them to perform their duties with a high level of competence and professionalism.

His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director General of the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, said: “The launch of the fourth edition of the programme forms part of the institutional framework led by the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai to advance the government audit system, which we consider to be a fundamental pillar for strengthening good governance, enhancing financial discipline, and ensuring the efficient management of public resources across the Government of Dubai.”

“The programme reflects the Authority’s commitment to adopting a proactive legislative and regulatory approach that prioritises the professional development of national talents through clear standards and approved methodologies,” His Excellency added. “This approach ensures the harmonisation of audit practices, raises compliance levels, and enhances the reliability of financial reporting across entities subject to the Authority’s oversight.”

“With this initiative,” H.E. Al Hareb noted, “the Authority reaffirms its commitment to aligning its capacity-building programmes with approved legislative frameworks and government policies, in support of sustainable institutional performance, and in line with the Government of Dubai’s aspirations to establish an advanced oversight model rooted in efficiency, transparency, and accountability.”

For his part, H.E. Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, said: “The fourth edition of the ‘Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor’ programme, launched in collaboration with the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, marks a strategic step forward in our efforts to develop specialised government capabilities. The programme provides an integrated knowledge and professional framework that empowers participants to acquire the necessary insights and tools to elevate the government audit and control ecosystem.”

“This, in turn, serves to enhance operational efficiency,” His Excellency continued, “in addition to providing direct support to the Government of Dubai in its efforts to reinforce the principles of good governance, transparency, and accountability, ultimately optimising the management of public resources in line with global best practices.”

“Our partnership with the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai reflects our mutual commitment to delivering an advanced training model that seamlessly bridges academic knowledge with practical application,” H.E. Al Marri explained. “This allows participants to hone advanced, specialised skills in financial auditing and control, bolstering their professional readiness to navigate rapid transformations in government work, and ultimately empowering them to support Dubai’s vision to establish a pioneering government model rooted in institutional efficiency and innovation across all audit and financial operations.”

The collaboration between the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government represents a leading model of effective government partnerships that respond to future requirements and labour market needs, while supporting the development of a new generation of professionals capable of leading government audit functions across entities subject to the Authority’s oversight to the highest standards of proficiency and professional excellence.
